Naturopathic Medicine is a distinct primary health care system that blends modern scientific knowledge with traditional and natural forms of medicine. A Naturopathic Doctor combines the art and science of medicine using natural therapies to stimulate the body’s innate ability to heal and restore health.
The aim of Naturopathic Doctors in both treatment and prevention is to address the cause of disease. By removing the cause, the most effective and long-lasting improvements in health can be achieved.

Licensed Naturopathic doctors have completed a minimum of seven years of graduate level education. This comprises of three or more years of university premedical studies, followed by a four year, fulltime Naturopathic medical program at one of six accredited schools in North America.
