Detoxification Smoothies

What is the quickest and most convenient way to provide your body with a high density of nutrients in a delicious and satisfying way?  Smoothies of course!  Smoothies are one of our favourite things to recommend because they are versatile, easy to incorporate nutritional supplements and can pack a great nutrient punch for the body.  Smoothies are also an excellent way to increase our intake of veggies and nutrients that are great at helping the body detoxify.  Here are a few of our favourite detoxification smoothie recipes for you to enjoy!

Smoothie #1 – Vive Health Super-Charged Easy-Peasy Smoothie

½ cup of frozen organic berries (mix of strawberries, blackberries, blueberries)
1 cup of frozen organic veggies (mix of kale, spinach, carrots, cauliflower, other veggies scraps)
1-2 scoops of protein powder or Medical Food
Approximately 2 cups of water (more or less depending on your preferred consistency)

Options:
1 teaspoon of coconut oil
1 teaspoon of MCT oil
1 teaspoon of matcha powder
Splash of pure juice (pomegranate, blueberry, cranberry)
½ avocado or ½ banana
2 teaspoons of ground flax seeds

Blend all the ingredients together with the exception of the protein powder or Medical Food.  Once smooth, add in the protein powder or Medical Food and pulse to mix.  Best enjoyed immediately.
