Dr. Lexi Streu|TCM Doctor, Registered Acupuncturist
"Health is more than just the absence of disease - it’s the ability to access the innate wisdom within each of us that allows us to live in a state of constant physical, emotional and spiritual ease."
About Dr. Lexi Streu
I am passionate about bringing ancient healing traditions into the modern environment to treat the body holistically and naturally. Prior to completing the 4-year TCMD program, I obtained a Bachelor’s of Health Sciences from Queen’s University. I am able to use this duality of education to combine the ancient wisdom of Chinese Medicine with current scientific evidence.
I believe that every person has the innate capacity to heal themselves, and TCM is a powerful means of guiding the body back to this. To me, there is nothing more rewarding than helping someone uncover the healing potential that exists within them. In order to effectively treat disease, I believe it is imperative to identify the root imbalances and complexity of disharmony instead of simply addressing the presenting symptoms. I place great importance on disease prevention and strive to treat systemic imbalances even before they give rise to symptoms. I work with patients on an emotional, physical, and mental level in order to achieve this.
Outside of the clinic I am focused on growing my personal practices in holistic nutrition, yoga, meditation and breath-work. I have a strong love for any activities that can take place in the mountains – whether that be snowboarding, hiking, camping or exploring untouched lakes and rivers.
