About Dr. Shelby Garn

Are you feeling lost when it comes to your own health? That’s why I’m here; to listen, treat, and empower you to regain your well-being and strive for optimal health.

I was born and raised in Calgary, AB, until my studies took me to the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC, where I completed my Bachelor of Science in Biology. I knew I wanted to help people in a simplistic and natural way while keeping in mind that not one person is alike, nor should their treatment be. I immediately resonated with naturopathic medicine and began my journey to become a naturopathic doctor at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster, BC.

I chose naturopathic medicine because I want to help you help yourself. Through applying my skill set at multiple clinics in Vancouver, I was able to not only broaden my experience, but affirm my interests in treatment applications. I am passionate about orthomolecular medicine, a discipline that involves optimizing and correcting nutrient deficiencies from a cellular and molecular level. My goal is to provide your body with the building blocks it requires to function at its highest potential, giving you the ability to pursue the activities and passions you love.

I highly value self-care and balance and believe in living them too. Filling my cup up might involve enjoying a warm cup of coffee on a quiet morning or embarking on adventures across the globe with friends and family. I look forward to the transition from walking and running with loved ones along Kitsilano Beach in Vancouver to the Bow River in Calgary.
